DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Troop 40321 \n\n\n\nRegistration Link \n\n\n\nLearn more about what World Thinking Day is: https://www.wagggs.org/en/what-we-do/world-thinking-day/ \n\n\n\nJoin us on Saturday\, 03/01/2024 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Pond Springs Elementary Cafeteria for a celebration of Girl Scouts and Girl Guides and birthday traditions from around the world. \n\n\n\nHow to participate:  \n\n\n\n1. Register your troop or individual Girl Scout and let us know what country’s Girl Scout or Girl Guide and birthday traditions you will present. Let us know how many girls will attend so that we can all plan to bring enough fun for the event.  \n\n\n\n2. Make a presentation board with information you learned about Girl Scouts/Guides and birthdays in that country. Be sure to make a SWAP or bring a treat — like a special kind of chip or a sample of a special drink — from that country. \n\n\n\n3. On the day of the event\, show up on time and in your uniform! Be ready to learn about other countries from your fellow Girl Scouts.  \n\n\n\n4. Collect donations from your troop for birthday party supplies like cake mixes\, frosting\, candles\, and festive tablecloths. We will bring all of the donations to a local food bank so that families who need birthday supplies can get them.  \n\n\n\n5. Come on the day of the event and enjoy the festivities!  Bring your project board\, SWAPs\, snacks\, and donations. Girls who check in at the event will receive a World Thinking Day 2025 patch.  \n\n\n\nA few other things:  \n\n\n\n\nThis is not a drop-off event\, so girls must attend the activity with a caregiver or Troop Leader. \n\n\n\nIndividual girls are welcome to participate either with or without a project board. \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nLocation: Pond Springs Elementary School\, 7825 Elkhorn Mountain Trail\, Austin\, TX 78729.
