Whether you are new to the movement or a seasoned member\, come learn about Product Programs two programs\, Fall Product and Cookies and why you should participate. This come and go rally will have activities to understand the 5 skills learned by participating in Product Program\, samples\, an exclusive viewing (and maybe a tasting) of the new cookie and so much more. Adults that attend will learn the benefit of both programs for their Girl Scouts and troop and easy steps to kick off the new Product Program season. \n\n\n\nLocation: Kodosky Service Center\, Austin \n\n\n\nSupervision level: This is NOT A DROP OFF EVENT. Adults are required to REGISTER and remain with their youth participants. Girl Scout volunteers bringing their troop must follow all Safety Activity Checkpoints. \n\n\n\nSpecial instructions: This is a come and go event. We will have samples of Fall Product and Cookies so please be allergy aware. \n\n\n\nRequired paperwork: Please complete the following sections of the Council Event Health and Permission Forms\, print\, and bring with you to the event: Section A \n\n\n\nSeveral days prior to the event\, you will receive a final confirmation email from our Girl Scout experience team with any additional information you need. DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Troop 40321 \n\n\n\nRegistration Link \n\n\n\nLearn more about what World Thinking Day is: https://www.wagggs.org/en/what-we-do/world-thinking-day/ \n\n\n\nJoin us on Saturday\, 03/01/2024 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Pond Springs Elementary Cafeteria for a celebration of Girl Scouts and Girl Guides and birthday traditions from around the world. \n\n\n\nHow to participate:  \n\n\n\n1. Register your troop or individual Girl Scout and let us know what country’s Girl Scout or Girl Guide and birthday traditions you will present. Let us know how many girls will attend so that we can all plan to bring enough fun for the event.  \n\n\n\n2. Make a presentation board with information you learned about Girl Scouts/Guides and birthdays in that country. Be sure to make a SWAP or bring a treat — like a special kind of chip or a sample of a special drink — from that country. \n\n\n\n3. On the day of the event\, show up on time and in your uniform! Be ready to learn about other countries from your fellow Girl Scouts.  \n\n\n\n4. Collect donations from your troop for birthday party supplies like cake mixes\, frosting\, candles\, and festive tablecloths. We will bring all of the donations to a local food bank so that families who need birthday supplies can get them.  \n\n\n\n5. Come on the day of the event and enjoy the festivities!  Bring your project board\, SWAPs\, snacks\, and donations. Girls who check in at the event will receive a World Thinking Day 2025 patch.  \n\n\n\nA few other things:  \n\n\n\n\nThis is not a drop-off event\, so girls must attend the activity with a caregiver or Troop Leader. \n\n\n\nIndividual girls are welcome to participate either with or without a project board. \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nLocation: Pond Springs Elementary School\, 7825 Elkhorn Mountain Trail\, Austin\, TX 78729. SUMMARY:Fall 2024 Lake Creek Service Unit Campout
DESCRIPTION:Join Lake Creek Service Unit at Bluebonnet Shores Camp this fall for s’mores\, songs\, and activities.  \n\n\n\nWhen: October 18-20 \n\n\n\nWhere: Bluebonnet Shores Girl Scout Camp in Belton\, TX. For more information about Bluebonnet Shores\, visit the Weekend Reservation Guide  or look at the Camp and Rental Properties site under Bluebonnet Shores for photographs.  \n\n\n\nCost: Troops who are staying in cabins are expected to contribute $10 per participant (girl or adult). Troops who choose day visit only (no lodging)\, tent pads\, screened tents\, or primitive camping are expected to contribute $5 per participant (girl or adult). Payment is due by 10/1/24. If your troop needs financial assistance to participate in this activity\, please email lakecreektreasurer@gmail.com with the number of girls\, level of girls\, and adults anticipated to participate.  \n\n\n\nDeadlines: \n\n\n\n\nRegistration will open 9/1/24 and close 9/13/24.\n\n\n\nConfirmation of lodging and activities will be sent by the end of September to aid troops in planning. \n\n\n\nPayment is due by 10/1/24.\n\n\n\n\nEvent Details: \n\n\n\nAll adults attending the campout must be registered and background checked per GSCTX guidelines. \n\n\n\nCabins will be assigned on a first-come\, first-serve basis while also accommodating as many Girl Scouts as possible.  \n\n\n\nTent pads\, screened tents\, and primitive camping are available if your troop would prefer those options. \n\n\n\nDads and male leaders are welcome! \n\n\n\nTag-alongs will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.  \n\n\n\nSolo campers and their adults are encouraged to register. We will make every effort to connect them with a troop for the weekend. \n\n\n\nTroops who want to visit for the day on Saturday only should also register.  \n\n\n\nTroops will provide their own food for Friday evening\, Saturday morning\, Saturday lunch\, and Sunday morning.  \n\n\n\nLCSU will host a cookout for the whole group Saturday evening including hot dogs and s’mores. Troops will be invited to signup to contribute to the feast as we get closer to the event.  \n\n\n\nEach troop is responsible for having a first aid certified volunteer; a saftey-wise ratio of adults to girls; any other trainings or requirements from GSCTX (ex. Let’s Go 1\, 2\, & 3); and an approved Activity and Travel Application. ATA’s should be submitted at least 3 weeks in advance to ensure that they are approved in time. \n\n\n\nAdult volunteers who are driving girls other than their own scouts must fill out the Volunteer Driver form. It is a requirement of the ATA\, so it is recommended that you complete these at least 4 weeks in advance and/or before the ATA.
