DESCRIPTION:Join your Lake Creek Service Unit friends at Camp Champions for a weekend of outdoor fun. \n\n\n\nRegistration form: https://forms.gle/iMYW7DwY5D53Hi6B7 \n\n\n\nPlease submit this form no later than January 21\, 2026 by 7 pm for all caregivers and Girl Scouts who are planning to attend the LCSU Campout on March 6 – 8\, 2026. Payment is due by February 16\, 2026. \n\n\n\nPlease only submit one form per troop. \n\n\n\n\nIf you would like to attend but you are the only person in your troop who is attending\, please provide that information below. If necessary\, you will be connected with another troop and your caregiver will be required to attend. \n\n\n\nThis is not a drop-off activity; all Girl Scouts must be connected with a troop and be listed on the approved Activity and Travel Application for that troop to attend the campout. \n\n\n\nIf you have a multi-level troop\, you will have the option to select activities and submit information for all levels below. \n\n\n\nException: If part of your group is coming only for the day on Saturday and the rest of you are staying overnight\, please fill out two forms. \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nCost: $80 per Girl Scout\, $50 per adult. $50 for all Saturday-only visitors. This covers the cost of food and activities for Girl Scouts and caregivers. LCSU is paying the lodging fees.  \n\n\n\nGeneral Information: Information About Camp Champions including property maps\, Visitor Agreements\, packing lists\, and descriptions of activities listed below can be found on the Lake Creek Service Unit Communications Google Drive here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Z6vuKBRhSefyEP7ybSddu411OR93nFV1?usp=sharing \n\n\n\nFor Troop Leaders & Caregivers:  \n\n\n\nIt is recommended that Troop Leaders and Caregivers that are planning to “travel” for the first time or who are new to Girl Scouts read through the Volunteer Support – Troop Travel section of the GSCTX FAQ page here: Volunteer Support – Troop Travel We will review some of this information at our January 6\, 2026 Lake Creek Service Unit Monthly Volunteer Meeting.  \n\n\n\nTroop Leaders are responsible for meeting the requirements for training including First Aid and CPR\, Child Protection Certification\, Let’s Go Policies and Procedures\, and Let’s Go 1 and for submitting and receiving an approval for an Activity and Travel Application before you travel. It is recommended that you submit your ATA at least two weeks before the trip to allow time for the application to be reviewed and any corrections to be made before you travel. Camp Champions also requires a Visitor Agreement for all camp visitors. \n\n\n\nCaregivers who attend are required to be registered\, background checked members and will need to complete the Child Protection Certification from GSCTX before your Activity and Travel Application can be approved. This picnic will be held on Tuesday\, April 28\, 2026 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Rattan Creek Park Pavilion\, 7617 Elkhorn Mountain Trail\, Austin\, TX 78729. Troops will be able to spread out on the hill in front of the pavilion to enjoy a picnic and play games together. If the weather isn’t cooperating\, don’t worry! We will move under the pavilion for light rain or into the community center as needed.  \n\n\n\nTroops should plan to: \n\n\n\nBring their own picnic and picnic blankets! This is a great time to complete those meal planning elements from your badge work or try out your team work skills.  \n\n\n\nPlan and bring supplies for a game to share with other troops. Some ideas: hula hoops\, pancake tossing\, bean bag toss\, or an idea for a game like Mother May I\, Statues in the Park\, or Red Rover.  \n\n\n\nOptional: Bring SWAPs to share with other troops.  \n\n\n\nLCSU will bring lemonade\, water\, and a sweet treat to share! \n\n\n\nIndividuals or troops can participate. Individuals will need to be accompanied by a caregiver. Troops will need a safety-wise number of adults to accompany their group.  \n\n\n\nRegister to attend by 4/21/2026!
